Try These Menswear Summer Style Tips

Try these summer style tips | Ed's Fine Imports
The first issue many of us have with our summer wardrobes is to know what to wear on that very first hot day in spring. You’ve been in winter and spring mode for so long, it can be difficult to suddenly change fashion gears.

But, regardless of what summer outfits you wear and when we have a few tips for you to wear it well.

1. Roll Up Your T-Shirt Sleeves

Hopefully, you’ve donated or recycled every t-shirt you had with those sleeves that went down below your elbow. That said, even if you have shorter sleeves, giving them a little roll up can give you a certain insouciance - and people won’t even know where it came from.

2. Tuck It In

In addition to your stomach, try tucking in your shirt, especially if you live for the fact that you don’t. Just for a change to keep things fresh, try a tuck-in to sharpen the look of any shirt you’re wearing, a t-shirt, Hawaiian shirt, golf shirt, any shirt.

3. Get ‘Raw’ Denim

If there is something that the ‘tuck it in’ tip and this one have in common, it is to spot a fashion trend that’s so common, so widespread, that just doing the opposite can help you look like a pacesetter of style. In this case, the relatively common look is distressed jeans. Slip on a pair of properly fitted of brand-new looking jeans instead for a casual option with a cleaner look.

4. Look for Opportunities to Layer

Summer usually means no jackets or layering. But the reality of the last few summers here in Markham, Toronto and the GTA, is that there are a few coolish nights. When one comes along, instead of lamenting the fact that it’s not stinking hot, try layering with cottons, linen and/or seersucker, contrasting light and darker colors, and solids and textures.
