Are You Ready For TOM – Toronto Men’s Fashion Week?

If you’re kinda bummed by how short summer was this year in TO, maybe you should head to the upcoming Toronto Men’s Fashion Week (TMFW). How will that help you get over the blues of summer’s end? You’ll be among the first to see the spring and summer 2018 menswear collections from many of the leading menswear designers in the country.

How cool would that be heading into the cold winter knowing what fashion trends will be hot next summer?

Also called TOM*FW, TMFW might be worth a visit in any case, especially if you appreciate the latest in men’s fashions and have never been to a major fashion show before.

If you’re thinking of heading down to TMFW, here are just a few points of interest.

Dates

TMFW runs from Tuesday, Sept. 26th to Sunday, October 1, 2017

Places

HQ is at 1 Yonge St.

Tickets

A three-day runway pass is $260, which gives you admission to every runway show. Individual day passes are $90 and single runway shows are $20.00. So even if you just want to get a taste of a major runway show, it won’t dent your wardrobe budget. Get tickets online here: https://www.tomfw.com/tickets/

Designers

Returning designers include Kollar, Hip & Bone, Shelli Oh and Xian. You may want to check out one of Canada’s fastest rising menswear designers by attending the LTF show.

Worthy Causes

As it did for the TOM*FW last spring, the upcoming show includes the Men’s Fashion 4Hope Celebrity Charity Fashion Show in support of the Kol Hope Foundation for Children. Past celeb participants include the CF’s James Yurichuk, Olympic rower Adam Van Koeverden and federal NDP leadership hopeful, Jagmeet Singh.

TMFW’s runway model’s will also be participating in the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event in support of the White Ribbon campaign to end violence against women and to create awareness of gender equality.

Hey, if nothing else, buying a ticket for TMFW helps support men’s fashion designers and manufacturers right here at home. That’s alone is a great reason to go.
